Resistance Band Exercise is Fun
Resistance band exercise can make exercise workouts more fun. Sometimes the thought of going to the gym to lift weights or jog on the treadmill can be less than desirable. After working all day, the exercise gym might be the last place you want to be. Sometimes, even the thought of exercising at home with your own equipment can be less than desirable. That's where resistance band exercise can help.

Resistance band exercise can be just the thing to help you get and stay motivated to exercise on a regular basis. No matter how you look at it, exercise can be downright boring and even tedious at times. But if you substitute regular resistance training or weight training with a resistance band exercise program it could do you a world of good.
The equipment used for resistance band exercise is simply heavy duty stretchable rubber bands. They are cheap and portable alteratives to weights for strength training. When you are travelling, say on business, a resistance band exercise program makes sense as the equipment is easily packed and the exercises can be performed in the hotel room fairly easily.
The resistance band exercise has been devised to target specific muscle groups. Most resistance bands are available in five colour-coded resistance levels: extra-light, light, medium, heavy, and extra-heavy. Lighter bands should be used by children and seniors, or to exercise small muscles such as the deltoids. Heavier bands should be used by experienced athletes, or to exercise large muscles such as the quadriceps.
As you can tell, a resistance band exercise program can provide you plenty of ways to make exercise more fun and interesting. You don't have to follow the same routine day after day, as you can do many other things to get in some exercise.
The important thing is that you should always try to incorporate exercise in any various form into your everyday life and make these habits the kind of habits that will last a lifetime. A resistance band exercise program may be a bit different, but it is convenient, provides fitness diversity and can be a lot of fun.
